As society becomes “datafied”, data becomes crucial for making decisions about educational, labor, commercial and even vital opportunities. However, data does not always tell the truth. This project aims to raise awareness about the risks and failures of the data that claim to represent us, based on the collection of personal experiences with “bad data” and the denunciation of the weakness of the foundations of the algorithmic society, in order to encourage a realistic and cautious approach to the possibilities of the data.

Your experience with BadData may be used in publications and presentations, but in an anonymized manner, that is, without including any personal data that may identify you. We will not share the data we collect from you with other third parties.
